Finished this yesterday. Acrylic and marker on canvas.

This is the other camera I ordered a few weeks back. Its a cheap knock off, China made piece of shit really. After 24 "practice" pictures I was a little disappointed to see how dark some of the photos came back on disc. My house is pretty well lit, and although I didn't take any sample photos outdoors YET, I am hoping it was just lack of light. The photos that did come out alright were the ones I used flash on, they were grainy but that is the look I was going for. So far I am keeping hope that I can make this camera work for me

The new camera...

Its a little larger than I am used  to.

Its super noisy, which is fun because my pets always look at it while I am trying to focus. Handy much?

I didn't realize how expensive this new hobby is going to run me, but like an old wise man once said, sometimes doing something you love will cost you... that is for sure.

I bought an 8 pack of Fugifilm 200 speed 35mm film from amazon for $16

$20 for the lithium C blah blah batteries.

$18 bucks to have my film sent out and processed.

 I only got the CD's this time around with the negatives, since I am so cheap. 

I figure in the next few weeks I will purchase a photo album and IF in the process of practice I love a photo,

 I will print it and keep it. Easy. 

I like the way these photos have that "old" feel to them. No photo editing other than some fine tuning with the brightness and cropping done on windows photo gallery.

Around this time last year I was a completely different person.

My brain worked things out in a different way back then.

I was confused as to who I was so I found it difficult to figure others out as well. Today I have a new friend, someone, who back then, I would have never given the time of day. I feel lucky to have this new friend in my life. Artistic, energetic, smart, exciting, and fun, someone I could get along with with minimal effort. And as I'm learning how to grow into a person I love, I consider myself nothing short of lucky to have someone like this around. She has taught me a great deal in a very short amount of time. 

This song does something to me I can't begin to describe. I will never forget the way I felt the first time I heard it.

I would suggest listening in a dim lit room with no interruptions to receive the full effect.

What the hell... I was bored, needed to kill some time...

jumped on chatroulette and BAM day ruined.

I understand the idea, and I can't say I totally disagree with everything that goes on there, but  why do "men" find it completely necessary to flash their nasty little p.p. on camera any chance they get these days?

Its nice when you finally do find someone to chat with, which is rare.

The site is loaded with videos of girls stripping, teenage boys, spam, and just nonsense really.

In my attempt to be cute this evening I decided to put on a wig and have a little laugh with someone who wasn't a dick, literally. What I got was boys begging for tit shots and people talking shit to me for no reason other than I was smiling and yelling "hello" at them. This world is funny sometimes. Why does everyone have to be so perverse and/or negative? Oh well. Lesson learned.

Colorflo

I painted this a year ago.

the excitement from purchasing new colors was overwhelming, so instead of planning what I paint, I slobbed on every color and just did what my wrist felt was right.

I enjoy this piece.

It is currently smiling at me from the wall in my living room.

I have been limited to phone photos being in a discreet, cute, if you will,  2 megapixel type.

Like I said before, I'm weird.

 I have always been open to new things.

Alcohol has its ups and down. For the most part, I am a responsible drunk. 

A social drinker.

2 years ago, I discovered Ecstasy, a fun little drug. Too much fun.

So fun in fact, that if I was a weak person, it could have ruined my life...

I did a little cocaine, fucked around with psychedelics, tripped balls.

Had fun but it had to stop sooner or later. When it got to that point when I would look through my photos and see my eyes bugged out in more than just a few...

it was time to stop. Or more like, slow down A LOT. 

I did and I got smart.

BUT

I would not change a thing. My experiences in life have shaped who I am now.

I am just lucky to be a smart strong individual.

I learned so much.

I look at things now in a way I don't think I could if I hadn't have gone through what I did.

When I feel real sad about not being the best artist in the world, I cry. Then I stop being such a pussy and take a look at the following art magazines and feel a little worse. I appreciate the differences in everyone's work though. The beauty of being different is what actually makes me happy. If you are being a pussy and you feel sad about sucking at... well, anything really, pick up an issue of the latest and weep a little.
